Commander Imaging Products, Inc. is a worldwide manufacturer and distributor of imaging supplies. Established in 1981, Commander provides compatible typewriter ribbons, MICR products, correction products, financial ink rollers, inkjet cartridges, thermal transfer ribbons, fax ribbons, toner cartridges, paper rolls, and other related products.

Many of our customers have their orders drop ship directly from Commander without worry of compromising their customer base. In today’s competitive market, this creates a unique loyalty and trust between Commander and it’s dealers.

Commander’s continuing goal is to provide a broad spectrum of quality products for the financial and office supply industry. With over 20 years of quality and experience, our expertise and knowledge enable us to meet and exceed our customer’s requirements for current and future technology in an ever-growing industry.

Our History…

Commander Imaging Products, Inc., then Brady Manufacturing, was founded by John Farrell Brady, Jr. in 1981. Mr. Brady created the business after his Canadian employer withdrew from the U.S. market. Mr. Brady had established a loyal NYC area clientele, and saw the growing need for quality ink film products such as dental, correction, MICR and other ribbons. He then formed Brady Manufacturers, with the backing of his previous employer, Canada Carbon and Ribbon. The business steadily grew from a home-based business to a small storefront expanding its product line and manufacturing capabilities.

In 1991 Commander purchased the Massachusetts based company, Molecudyne, T/A Delete. This enabled Commander to begin manufacturing fabric ribbons, to grow it's existing product line. The purchase formed Comdel, requiring additional factory and office space centralized in the Historic District of Paterson, NJ.

Comdel and Brady Manufacturers continued to evolve over the years as technology changed, and in 1995 the two companies merged to form Commander Imaging Products, Inc. Commander was now able to offer a wide array of Imaging Supplies for the Financial, Printing, and POS industries, becoming a “One Stop Shop” for dealers.

In 1996, after the loss of Commander’s President and Founder, John F. Brady, the business was able to maintain its ideals and persevere.
Working from a strong foundation, employee and customer loyalty have enabled the company to grow and expand even further over the past several years.

Today, Commander has proven that alliance as it has continued to grow and expand its product line and services, with over 30 employees, 4 locations and 25,000 square feet, continuing to be a family run business. Commander continues its dedication to guarantee the best available products at competitive pricing.
